5G

5G is something that has been talked about for quite a while. 5G is the fifth generation of cellular mobile communications following 4G LTE. It represents a major transition in communication network architecture. 5G promises improvements like more bandwidth and lower latency.

5G should theoretically be 20 times faster than 4G allowing for speeds up to 10 GB a second! Other improves that will come with 5G include reduced latency, improved connection density, increased data rates, and strengthened connection security all-around.

Two of the most important revolutionary changes that will come with 5G is the ability to make networks ubiquitous which will allow you to switch between networks seamlessly without disruption and also the IoT (Internet of Things).

The Internet of Things is "a system of interrelated computing devices, mechanical and digital machines, objects, animals or people that are provided with unique identifiers and the ability to transfer data over a network without requiring human-to-human or human-to-computer interaction.” This means that everything from your coffee maker to a car factory will be communicating autonomously making for more connected way of life.
